In his book Brainstorm: The Power and Purpose of the Teenage Brain, Dr. Dan Siegel informs us about studies which are very revealing. When their teachers were told that students had “limited intelligence,” those students performed worse than other students which not similarly labeled. However, when teachers were informed that the same students were exceptionally gifted, their test scores greatly improved.
