The presentations and discussions from this important were captured on video to be utilized as resources designed to equip a team of passionate people in any church to be wise and thoughtful foster care advocates.

From age 7 through 17, Flowers’ childhood was spent being shuffled between foster homes, detention centers, reform schools, state youth facilities and hospitals. By age 10 his father was murdered. By age 17, service providers gave up all hope and told him to return home. They predicted he would be in jail or dead within a year. Flowers was determined to prove wrong all the adults who had no hope for his future. He received a BA from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a JD from the University Of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. He is the Founder and President of Higher M-Pact, a 501(3) community-based organization dedicated to ministering to high-risk urban youth leaders. He is involved with community service organizations, agencies and has served on local, statewide and national committees and boards addressing the needs of youth and the community. Flowers has been invited to the White House where he was honored by President George W. Bush, featured in People, Jet & Charisma Magazine and highlighted on CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. Flowers is a native of Kansas City, MO where he resides with his wife of 18 years, Renee.”
